Opposite the front door is a small rectangular table with a white table cloth with red flowers and two bright orange chairs.  The cat has been scratching one of the table cloth corners.  On the table is another desk lamp and turquoise lazy Susan.  The informant embarrassingly admitted to the lazy Susan collecting junk and that she had originally had other plans for it.  There is a yellow cushion on the chair closest to the kitchen, this is where the informant sits.  She has indicated that this is where majority of her school work is completed despite having a dedicated desk in the bedroom.  In addition the informant rarely eats at the table without multitasking.  On the wall above the table hangs a print of a black cat eating a beignet that her mom purchased for her when they were in New Orleans after she had defended her master’s thesis.  The floor is a dark blond wood and the walls are painted a warm tan with white doors and trim.  The room is fairly quiet with the exception of the filter from the turtle tank and the occasional neighbor closing their door or walking by the window.  There is a faint whiff of essential oils as you pass by the fireplace.
