So much work happens at the sink, in front of the mirror.  Most mornings she faces herself down.  Applies heat to her hair in an attempt to look more competent than she actually is.  Even though she is securely into adulthood she still feels like she doesn’t have this basic girl stuff figured out.  She is barley competent at rubbing foundation onto her skin in an effort to cover up perceived imperfections.  Recently she’s started to attempt to contour check bones using a stiff brush and muddy powders, it’s not going well.
