The informant is at the bathrooms sink rinsing a stain out of a white T-shirt with a black cat on it.  As I make myself comfortable in the doorway she shrugs and states, “figures, I buy a white shirt for the first time in years and the very first time I wear it I get chocolate on it”.

Me: How did you decide on colors for the bathroom?  There seems to be a lot of blues and greens.

Informant: I saw the shower curtain online when I was finishing college and decided I wanted it in whatever apartment I ended up in after I graduated.  When I moved into my first post college apartment I bought it and it’s been with me ever since.
